Item was just as described and arrived quickly, thanks again,
Absolutely brilliant budget travel rod! I bought the Ugly Stik 4 piece travel rod (6’6”) for a trip in March 2020. Needed something to get through an airport in my backpack & this is perfect. Lovely finish to it & feels/ looks top quality for £30. Seems well balanced & paired with my Penn Battle 3 (4000) I’m looking forward to a spot of sea fishing off the rocks. Braid shouldn’t be an issue-20lb Spider braid on my Penn. It feels indestructible & all 4 sections fit together perfectly-just use a 90 degree twist to house the section solidly. It packs to 57cm so is super easy to transport. It does feel a tiny bit heavy but fine for a few hours spinning. Mine came in a plastic case-slightly flimsy but it arrived fine via UK post so I guess it’ll stand up to most things. It has a nifty roll type pouch included that house’s all 4 rod sections individually & then rolls & ties. Feels way better than other rods in its class that I’ve owned. Can’t comment on the cast as yet but I’d say it has a medium/ heavy action (defo not light). Some reviews state that people don’t think it’s particularly straight-mine is totally fine-straight as you get on any cheaper rod. Id say the rod should be fine for most disciplines. If you’re after a solid rod to travel lightly & don’t want to spend a fortune it’s a winner in my opinion.
