You Mean I Don't Have To Give Up Everything That Is Delicious?!
You mean I can have potatoes, bacon, bread, cake and ice cream? This explains how we can Feat Without Fear by listening to our bodies. We will naturally make adjustments while following Intermittent Fasting but we will begin to crave those changes. The tough part is listening to our body signals of when we have had enough.
We have been taught to eat by what time it is or by the advertisements we have seen or maybe family or doctors telling us it is important to stay in the fed state. This book helps you to enjoy your feast but listen to your body to know when to stop feasting and what food is most important for us to eat. This also gives you information of what to look for when shopping for foods and which ones keep you hungry and which ones brings on your satiety.
Gin Stephens is one of my new favorite authors. She does so much research while writing her books.

Fast? Feast? Repeat? I already do this?!
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a more in depth book of the Delay, Don't Deny. Gin Stephens has done so much research and her books lead you to the full studies if you want to "see for yourself," and her explanations of all the science behind those studies and results. She explains the "Why?" of why this diet works for your friend and why it doesn't for you. She also explains why we have gotten fat/obese and there is NOT a magic pill to make it all go away and be slim forever. She explains why it is so important to keep your insulin levels lower for at least 12 hours to be able to correct your body's signals of when to eat and when it is satisfied. As with diets, there is no one diet/fast for all. Our bodies are as unique as our fingerprints and our DNA (which also plays a part of what works and what doesn't). This book has so much information that I have been taking all kinds of notes, making annotations and rereading sections and I am constantly learning.
This book is a must have if you want to know why you are hungry all the time or, like me, stand at the fridge or cabinet looking for something to eat but don't know what you want. Which may be your spiked inulin level that is trying to get you to eat more.
Gin will tell you many ways you can lower your insulin level and lose the inches, lower your inflammatory response, stay slimmer, have more energy, and feel younger. What part of this last statement do you want? Personally, I want all of the above.

Diabetes Code
This book is quite sciency but explains a LOT about diabetes type 2 and how a person (along with their doctor) can reverse this diagnosis and live healthier.
Warning! This book goes against everything we have been told about diabetes management. Fully read this book and talk with your doctor/give them a copy of this book.
