Great to have it but not the best quality
2 of 2 found this helpful I always loved Captain EO since first seeing it in the late 80s when it first debuted at Disneyland and most recently saw it there a couple years ago when they brought it back before taking it out again to make way for Star Wars related shows. Captain EO has never been commercially released and probably never will be. If you are a fan, this is your only chance to experience it again. This is not an official release and the production values show. The DVD case and inserts are not bad and the disc itself is pressed (not burned). The problems start when you try to start it up in your DVD player.
I played it in an Oppo BDP102 (high end blu-ray player) and it did not display the title or menus properly, and actually i was impossible to select the widescreen version. However, you can watch it just by skipping forward as the tracks (full screen version, widescreen version, making of mini-documentary and concert footage of "Another Part of Me") are all sequential video files. Clunky, but you can access all the videos. According to wikipedia, Captain EO was only broadcast once (by MTV I think) in the early 1990s, and only in fullscreen (pan and scan) and presumably this is a recording of that, although I have no way of knowing. The widescreen version here seems to have a wider aspect ratio but not sure of the source.
Overall, the video quality is quite low. Not a camcorder recording but still very low resolution and doesn't look good at all even upscaled by my Oppo blu-ray player. Probably because I played it on a 120" screen on my projector. On a 40-55" TV it may look better. The sound is okay. No 3D effects unfortunately.
In summary, this video allows you to see this movie in probably the only way you can now that Captain EO has been put on hiatus at the Disney parks. The video resolution/quality is low, it's not 3D, and so it's not particularly compelling otherwise and certainly does not give you the experience you had in the Disney theater. I wish it would someday get a proper blu-ray 3D release but that will probably never happen as I would guess that the film is owned by Disney rather than the Michael Jackson estate, so definitely worth buying if you were a big fan of the film.

"hybrid glass" is not glass in any sense of the word
Simply put, this is a plastic, flexible screen protector. It can be easily bended in either direction. How is this even partly made of glass? Well, it's not, and as such is not a good deal at all. Also took about a month to get it in the mail. Go for the Celicious anti-shock screen protector if you have a Dell Latitude 2-in-1 5285/5290 as it comes much quicker (even though from the U.K.) and is a thicker/nicer screen protector with 5H hardness, which I find totally believable. More than this faux "hybrid glass" at any rate. Too bad no one makes a real tempered glass screen protector for this 2-in-1 as that is what I actually want.
