Cheap Cable
I've fitted quite a few of these cables on Hyundai i10 as you probably know the clutch mechanism is one up from the Morris Minor. Unless you buy one from a dealer franchise it very difficult to assess the quality of the actual cable. On this particular occasion the overall quality wasn't very good main concern was the very flimsy rivets on each end of the cable and a loose thread on the adjustment nut that jumps the thread when pressure is applied. Am I disappointed no would I recommend no unless you are prepared to address the slack thread issue but you still run the risk of the poor overhaul construction. I've kept hold of the cable as a spare incase I have need of it in an emergency as I can swap out these in 5 minutes. My advice is unless you are mechanically minded and prepared to make improvements to the item as it's supplied then stick to a genuine part because even those don't last long. It's a cheap cable that I purchased just to see if it was any good and I kind of knew it wasn't going to be but sometimes you are surprised on this particular occasion it wasn't to be.

Fine on copper at its limits on steel
1 of 1 found this helpful Whilst it performs perfectly well on copper brake lines it's at about it's limit with steel pipe. It's a perfect bit of kit for smaller jobs and would make it an essential part of your tool kit if you plan to travel as repairs can be made on the vehicle. I would normally make pipes using the tool at work but due to the lockdown this wasn't possible. The tool is relatively well made and can be easily taken apart to clean time will tell how long it will last but for the price it does work
