Recreate the forties with this outstanding book.
This is a superb book. The historical information at the beginning is invaluable for putting the designs into context. Particularly useful is the section at the end which dates the changes to the patten envelopes. Illustrations are plentiful and so clear that they can be used to recreate the fashions.

Essential for the beginner to Bridge
Excellent beginners guide. Takes the novice in a logical progression from complete ignorance to the ability to participate effectively in bridge. Paul has a super writing style which mixes humour with tips for avoiding pitfalls. I learned so much and enjoyed the reading, and rereading that I've now bought all he has written so far.
