Nicely made, breeze to install, functions as advertised.
2 of 2 found this helpful I bought a Dyna ignition coil (the instructions recommend them, which makes sense as Dyna is the OEM for the Ultima) and had the swap done in an hour. Static timing with the LED is easy and no further adjustments were required. (I checked with a timing light afterwards.)
Keeping it real, points with a good mechanical advance work fine but I wanted to check one of these out so I did.
The included crimp connectors are better quality than the usual auto store sh1te. I used bare connectors covered with heat shrink tubing instead because I prefer them but the included parts are fine. The wire bundle is long enough for you to route properly.
If your stock Harley electronic ignition died of old age this is a hassle-free replacement.
If you don't have one, buy the FACTORY Harley service manual and parts book for any Harley you own. Even if you don't do your own wrenching the information is more than worth it, and the parts book makes ordering online after Googling part numbers a breeze.
