Just the job
It's hard to see how you can crimp hog rings without one of these or something similar. They make easy work of crimping hog rings on shock cord from 4mm to 8mm dia. Very good.

Design flaw
Arrived in good time. Pleasantly surprised at quality. Seat and seat back covers don’t actually join or attach to each other which leaves a gap. This lets sand and dirt get down back of seat after dog has been on beach. This might be described as a design flaw as there could be a better way. Still, better than nothing. Regards

Buy cheap and what can you expect?
Having spend a small fortune creating a lovely granny annexe for my mother I thought why spoil the finish of the costly worktop for the sake of a few quid so I invested in this set to cut and trim. The large straight cutter wasn't great. It left small chips in the laminate along the cut line. Putting this down to the composition of the laminate rather than the quality of the cutter I finished off the ends by gluing the laminate trim on. When totally dry I used the laminate trimmer (the one with the bearing as a bump stop) to finish the ends. TO MY HORROR a discovered after the first pass that the blade protruded outside the line of the bearing. This resulted in the blade skimming the worktop laminate and removing the wood block pattern, leaving a white scuff along the cut line. RUINED!! My job was ruined. The expense I had been to was a complete waste. I'd have done better with a surform or a file and a block of abrasive paper. This item may look like the dog's dubberies but it is simply a cheap lookalike of the proper tool. Don't make the same mistake as me. Either buy a proper laminate trimmer and cutters with proper tool steel blades or use a file. This have spoiled what should have been a beautiful job. I can't afford to buy replacement worktops so I have to live with the horrible finish these cheap and nasty bits have left me. The finish taunts me every time I see it. You have been warned!!
