A project involved moving liquid from one plastic tank to another, but I wanted the pipe to pass through the tank walls. The bulkhead fitting seemed to be ideal way to do this. I use two versions of this bulkhead fitting, one of which matches a 6 mm pipe and the other matches a 10 mm pipe.
The nuts that hold the fitting are fairly lose on the thread on the outside of the fitting. However, I am using sealant to fill the threads, to prevent leakage so this is not an issue. Alternatively, I could use PTFE tape for the same purpose.
The push fit for the pipe into the fitting means that the pipe can be fitting and removed very easily and quickly. I am using liquid at fairly low pressures, so I am unable to test whether it works well at higher pressures.
When fitting cables to a plastic box containing a power supply (12 volt DC from 240 volt AC), these glands allowed the cables to pass through the walls of the box. The protective flexible spiral is mounted on a nut that screws onto the body and compresses a gland that holds the cable in place.

Useful adapter
In a system I am building, I needed to connect a 10 mm nylon tube to a 1/4 in BSP fitting and this did the job very effectively.
