Works great

It's a simple, basic tool, but with just a bit of practice it makes it easy to file rings accurately. Remember to file only one end, using the other as a gauge to keep them square. Also file from the outside in, to avoid chipping the very hard outer edge of the ring.

Math error

@cristian_armaselu: 2.5 microns is less than .0001", and 15 microns is only about .0006". Most lathes have more wear in the ways than that after a few years of use.
