Great Guitarist

If you like really good, finger-style guitar then you will love this CD. Tommy Emmanuel is "The Man" for "finger-style" guitar and this is an excellent recording. It features 19 songs, two of which have vocals and one has alot of guitar percussion. I personally don't care too much for these three selections but that leaves me with 16 really good instrumental songs that are awsome! Just listening to the CD doesn't do justice to what this guy is doing; it sounds like there are several musicians playing together to achieve all of the sounds that you hear, when, in reality, this guy makes his guitar come up with so many different sounds, both percussion and base, that it is hard to visualize it unless you see a video of him.

Easy Listening

I can safely say the I am a big fan of Tommy Emmanuel although this is only the second CD of his that I own. Personally, I am much more drawn to my other Tommy Emmanuel CD "Endless Road" than this CD because I feel the accompaniment of the orchestra on these CD detract from this amazing musician. It is easy listening music but really nothing special. I have watched many of Tommy's videos and love them all, but, I haven't seen any yet where the orchestra covers up the soloist like they do in these CDs. I plan to own more of Tommy Emmanuel's CDs but I am pretty sure that this will be one of my least favorite.
