Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6 x 24mm Scope - BDC Reticle SE-1624-1

Great AR-15 scope - even for a couple novices

My son and I just took up rifle shooting with a Ruger AR-556. I love the view through the scope, and I can now see that 6x will be enough (barely) for 200 yard targets, our current maximum range. At 100 yards and up, we now use a bipod. The 1x or 2x setting should be good for offhand indoor range (25 yards max) shooting, so it looks like a versatile scope, just as Vortex claimed it would be. I'll probably leave it "permanently" mounted on the rifle.
