Great Price, Great Play
Great price and while nothing can take the place of live theater, RSC filmed plays come as close as possible....

Lawrence S. Ritter, author of The Glory of Their Times once said:"
"The strongest thing that baseball has going for it today are its yesterdays," and that may make this film series the greatest in its niche along with Ken Burns's _Baseball_. I recommend it to any fan who wants to see the heroes from the games Golden Age, a time when the game was evolving socially (e.g., the ending of racial segregation), while maintaining it better traditions (e.g., pitchers actually pitched nine innings back then without needing to go on the "10-day DL"), and fans could buy box seats during the regular season, buy scorecards, hot dogs, beer, and souvenirs, and still have some of their paychecks left. It is a labor of love and it shows!
