Easily one of my all-time favorites!
Like many others, I grew with the Transformers cartoon series and eagerly anticipated this movie's release...and was not disappointed in the least! I took my kids to see this movie in the theater 3 times and pre-ordered it in DVD as soon as I was able to, right here on ebay! This movie is fantastic all around. There really isn't anything negative that I could say about this movie. It had action, comedy, great characters, an excellent storyline, it was fast-paced and OMG the images! The most incredible affects! I went into the theater the first time with high expectations and this movie delivered! It surpassed anything I could have imagined.

Wonderfully Imaginative!
Though great for kids, it is still entertaining for adults. Alex Rover, played by Jodie Foster, is delightfully neurotic in this great tale of true courage and adventure. Nim Rusoe is a character anyone would adore with her brilliantly inquisitive mind, fantastic sense of humor and admirable sense of responsibility. The only part I did not like is that the character, Nim, is 11 years old and not only tells a complete stranger that her father is gone and she's alone, but even tells them where she is. You might want to have a little talk with your children about that part, but aside from that, this is one spectacular movie that is laugh out loud funny!

Definitely Worth Watching
By itself, this is an excellent movie. Our children really enjoyed it. It was realistically portrayed and fast paced, so it grabbed their attention from start to finish in wide-eyed wonder. However, it is VERY different from the book series and my sons noticed it immediately. They started discussing the discrepancies within minutes of the movie's onset (as soon as Jared started up the dumbwaiter), so I had to pause it and ask them to please withhold commentary until the movie was over and we could then discus what they noticed was omitted, altered and added. Once we got that out of the way though, they were enthralled by the imagery and the story swept them away. One of my kids even liked the movie BETTER than the books!
