Update: joystick failed 5 weeks later, Logitech won't cover warranty for this refurbished item!

The joystick Y-axis failed about 5 weeks after the original purchase. After reviewing this with Logitech, who agreed the hardware had failed, I learned that refurbished products are not covered by their warranty and thus I'm out of luck.
I strongly recommend avoiding this product -- it's unreliable and not covered by warranty!

A lot of people complain about this hotas arriving with button issues, but I haven't experienced any. It all worked ok. It's true that it's not the best designed (the TM warthog being the next step up and much higher quality) and quite plasticky, but it does have a ton of functionality and the price is almost half the warthog.
Tip: Use the weakest spring (and consider trimming it shorter), and use some dampening grease on the ball joint to improve feel. No idea why Saitek doesn't do this before shipping, it would improve consumer feedback and be inexpensive.
