Gamer? Supporter of troops? Like good stories in general? HERE YOU GO!
0 of 1 found this helpful The 4-book series is a must-have for so many people. Not only does it base itself off of the classic game, but it's also written so respectfully and honorably from a military perspective and frame of mind. Then, you really start to get invested in the story and characters right from the get-go, but each book goes levels deeper that you could not imagine or foresee, with an ending that leaves you both satisfied and wondering. At reaching to read the whole thing over. I had lost this book in the series a while back, and still read through the books I possessed, happily, but I missed the absent chunk so much I needed to re-find it!

Good value for specific uses
This is the disposable camera of our generation. It does the job well enough and is quite cheap. If you need an action shot, you're out of luck. If you need a shot in the dark, you're out of luck. Water? Out of luck. Super crisp video dealing with lots of colors and activity? Need to get to video quickly? Need to get to the editing quickly? Is it easy to navigate?
Look, it's worth it in certain situations, but if you want to be proud of your investment, aim higher.

Immersive and Thought-Provoking
It actually makes me feel like I'm visiting New York again. The feel, the atmosphere, the attitudes of the NPC's - it all contributes to a genuine depiction of humanity in such an event. When you overhear discussions and transmissions and recordings throughout the game, you actually begin to ponder the merits of the other side, simply knowing that human emotion can be brought to the brink, and we don't know what we'd do in these scenarios. As you play the game, you are affirmed to be on the right side, but you meet people who question (and make you question) the ethics of it all, from many angles.
The game keeps you riveted. The progression is properly scaled. The customization is amazing, and promises to get even deeper. Integration with other players is fast. End-game is inviting for repeats.
On Top Of All That, The DLC's make you feel like you've purchased a whole new game entirely for DLC price value. Survival and Last Stand, especially, make you approach gameplay tactically different than Story or Roam mode. Not only do I recommend this to anyone who likes good military depiction in video games, but also anyone who wants a more realistic spin on what a man-made apocalypse could look like.
