Drive 2 Sony SS-RX88 speakers from mp3 player
Previous mini amp would overheat and crackles would start in the music spoiling the quality of the sound. Previous amp had a higher power rating but read below article and decided better to to match the power of my speakers: 8 ohm impedance, 100 watt continuous RMS power output.
My speaker spec:
RX88
DIN power output (rated)80 watts
(8 ohms at 1 kHz, DIN)
Continuous RMS power output (reference)100 watts
(8 ohms at 1 kHz, 10% THD)
Music power output (reference)170 watts
(8 ohms at 1 kHz, 10% THD)
The sound is great. No distortion and no over heating during the couple of weeks I've been using.
Didn't come with a power cable or charger but as it happened I had one from previous mini amp with right output (but something to watch out for if buying for first time).
