flawless...
the first 15 or so years that bowie wrote, collaborated & recorded produced music that changed my life... literally. I love it so much. after a lengthy period of music that didn't work for me at all, & a few things that sparked my interest--such as "outside"--this record marks the dawn of the modern era of groundbreaking records that bowie & company produced up until the end of his life. this whole record is flawless from start to finish. truly beautiful stuff.

sickafoose's first...
I'm pretty certain this is todd sickafoose's recording as a band leader. while he had only gotten better over time, he started off on really high level. I totally recommend this record & all of his others after it.

a rare treat...
it's jazz fusion, but not on the original sense... there's a new brand of fusion... this disc offers up an array of live performances of jazz fused with everything from skronk to modern classical. it's all recorded really well & performed even better.
