Rear mud flaps have different fixture requirements depending on which side

Started off fitting near side ( passenger), fiddly and required some degree of 'make it up ' and familiarity as you go along, as I could find no fitting instructions anywhere! Appeared successful and only required to drill one extra auxiliary hole: the drivers side of my 5 series 15 plate tourer had completely different requirements ( due to lack of exhaust system on that side). The pre made drill holes did not correspond to the receiving surface contours ( there is a plastic undersurface box like compartment on the drivers side, behind the wheel arch) I ended up drilling two holes and not being able to use one of the main pre- drilled holes in the mudflap as it just did not fit with any complimentary area on the plastic undercover. I got it all on, but not a professional job unlike the other 3 mud flaps I had installed - I think this rear off side flap was exactly the same as the near side but clearly not the right part for my f11 tourer as it stated it was on the site.
