If you don't eat your meat you can't have any pudding
1 of 1 found this helpful The Wall is very much a love it or hate it album. Released in 1979 when the punk explosion had already undermined the foundations of prog rock it's easy to see this as just another overblown concept album.
It's certainly something that you need to listen to a few times to fully appreciate. Everyone knows the rebellious school kids' anthem 'Another Brick in the Wall' but there are more thoughtful tracks here too. It's also probably the closest that a rock album can become to being operatic and to that extent there's a certain amount of what might best be described as filler to get you from one part to the next.
If you can put up with the sometimes rather gristly meat, however, the pudding is very good indeed.

Nicely made, easy to build
Sharp mouldings, easy to assemble. Self-coloured so you can get away without painting if you want, though it benefits from some weathering to tone down the plasticiness. Also comes with a selection of posters for the noticeboards.
