This hand-held mixer replaced one I had used for years and, at first sight, the beaters seemed rather flimsy. However, it packs a real punch and beats well even for stiff mixtures. My only dislike is that its slowest speed is too fast and tends to spray flour out of the bowl onto itself and the work surface. Once the flour is mixed in it's fine, but I have to stir it in manually before beating to avoid this problem. I make a lot of bread and have found the dough hooks do a good job and are really easy to clean afterwards. For the price this machine is superb - I bought it as a cheap stop-gap when my old one packed up, but now feel I shall not need to replace it with a more expensive one.

Microphone for Skype

This microphone works extremely well for Skype calls but you have to set it on the highest quality settings in Control Panel. It is also great for recording voice or singing and my grandchildren spend a lot of time singing their favourite songs into it. It sits comfortably on your desk in its holder or can be taken out and held like a real pop singer! Excellent value for money.
