2 of 2 found this helpful I bought this because i was tired of lugging around a huge laptop to college and back. When i got this through the post, i was surprised at how light it actually is, and bearing in mind it comes with its own protective sleeve, i can just bung it in my bag with my books and be off. I did notice, however, that the EeePC doesn't run windows very well at all, so i reinstalled xandros which works like a dream (boots in seconds, does pretty much everything windows does, etc.) of if Xandros isn't to your liking, you can always install Eeebuntu (OS based on ubuntu)
It comes with everything you're going to need, such as n-standard wifi, bluetooth, Solid-state storage, and even a tiny 1.3MP webcam built into the lid. The battery on the EeePC is nothing short of astounding, i frequently get 5-6 hours of battery life with a single charge (obviously less if you run more programs, have a brighter screen, use wifi etc.) Which will see almost anybody through the day.
