Swabs and gals, blons and brunecks alike. A musk buy!
I suspose I yam parshel to the funnies what makes me laugh (arf arf!) but the ol' salt Popeye really blows me down in this voloom (s'possed to the first voloom)! (Anyway...) The character is in what may be his funniest and most interesting period in this book- that point between being a secondary presence with little development and dialog, and when he's a full-blown star, hawking spinach and being a role model. Here, he's multidimensional and "hoomerous" as all heck. I enjoyed the dailies but found the Sundays to be the most hilarious.
I'm working my way through the series, having purchased all but the last as of this writing. Big fan of Segar, and glad to finally own these strips!
