Not for Mac (I guess)
Product is simply non-functional on MacOS.10.6.8. With the adapters fitted the machine did not recognise the presence of either optical drive. I guess this is down to incompatibility in the OS. The adapters ought to be able to operate with older systems as they are intended to work as an upgrade from IDE to PATA. Nil points I'm afraid. (I should be pleased to be proven wrong.)

Just about OK
Doea what irt says on the tin but stops there. 'Tunes' are old fashioned polyphonics, like the Nokias of a good few years ago and it has to be plugged directly in to a power outlet. I would rather it ran off a transformer like the one of the other door. But it does its job. Haven't opened it up to check but the leaflet states that the actuating button requires a 24v battery. Might be difficult to source when it needs replacing.
Another niggle is that the model number does not appear in the available list when I tried to register it online. Support staff were good though and declared it registered after a couple of emails. The guarantee is a bit of a cheat, 18 months with a 'free' six months after registration. Which brings it up to the Euro required minimum of two years.

Happy birds, happy me.
Previously a great deal of the seed ended up on the ground (where the wood pigeons gobbled it up) but now hardly any is dropped. So cost per gram ingested by birds is far higher already, factor in the very reasonable price (about half what I was paying from a local garden centre) and I am quids in. Which is very helpful as I seem to have the national collection of house sparrows.
