Great system for everyone!!!
These days it is hard to find a console that can satisfy everyone in the family . Well, the Wii brings a new generation of competitive family gaming that's just way too much fun!!! Console graphics- 8/10 The graphics aren't bad but, they are certainly an upgrade from the Nintendo’s other consoles. Nintendo promised better graphics and that's what you get!! It is nothing compared to the HD in a Playstation 3 or Xbox 360, but it is definitely a step up for Nintendo. Sound quality- 9/10 Sound is great. From the realistic games to the addicting nonsense games the Wii provides a very aesthetically pleasing experience. There is also a little speaker in the Wii Remote that most games utilize for some very distinct, but very useful sounds. Online setup- 9/10. I really love the way the online setup works. It’s easy to setup with a wireless connection, or buy the adapter to plug directly in with a cable. There are tons of thing you can do online with the Wii. My favorite is the Wii Shop. You can go on the “Shop Channel” and buy old-school Nintendo games. This is a great feature for me because I can never get enough of the old Mario games from the Nintendo and Super Nintendo systems. You can also access weather and news and many other features. Many games also come with online capabilities such as playing friends, playing random people, and sharing information. Although the Wii online is great, I still prefer the setup of Xbox Live. Controls- 9/10 The Wii-remote and Nunchuck are very nice additions. The motion sensing gameplay is just way too much fun!! The only downside is some games it just feels awkward. But you can plug in an old Gamecube controller and your ready to go!!! You can also buy a Wii classic controller. The design is similar to the original SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System). This controller is great for the older games. Games-10/10 So far, the wii has a game for every person’s taste. It's fun for the whole family. The included Wii Sports games are plently to keep you entertained for countless hours!! It’s tough to tear away from the Wii sports, and add in all the other available games and you have non-stop fun!!! All in all- 10/10 I am more than impressed with the Nintendo Wii console. It has far exceeded my expectations in every aspect. It is definitely a great system for the family… When I go back to the parent’s house I even have them playing with me!!! Not to mention all my friends and their families that love it. Although the Wii is best to play with other people, I would say that even an individual would love this system. And for only $250 you can’t go wrong!!! It is worth every single penny. You can’t go wrong with the Wii. A small price tag, large quantities, tons of games and options makes this system a must-have!!!

Great family game
Surf's Up is based on the 2007 animated film with the same name. You play a penguin who surfs (duh!). I actually liked the movie and just randomly bought this game one day. Story: The plot of the movie is never really used in the game. It of course has all the same names, locations, and people from the movie but it just kind of has you go from place to place for no reason. It's too bad that the story doesn't exist in this game but oh well. Graphics: Graphically this game looks pretty good. The water effects are pretty cool. The items and stuff in the levels also looks good. What made me realize how nice the game looked was when I noticed how my character actually had a wet shine to him from the surfing. It's a nice little touch and he really looked like he just got out of the water. Sound: The game uses the actors from the animated film which is cool but they aren't used except for brief sound clips if you get near them in the stages. The music has songs by A and by The Plain White T's. A very Indie feel for sure and it fits the surfing theme rather well. Sound effects could have been better but it’s a low-budget game so what do you expect? The waves don’t really make good wave noises (if that makes since) and most of the sound effects for crashing and picking up items are pretty lame. Control: Control in the game is very easy. It is like a REALLY simplified version of the Tony Hawk Pro Skater games. You move with the left analog stick. L trigger is used to grind the top of a wave. A simple trick is done with the X button, advance tricks are done with the O button. Triangle button activates “Stoke Mode” which does a few special tricks for a short period of time. Square button allows for freestyle movement with the right analog stick. Gameplay: So the game has 5 locations but besides the layout they play pretty much the same. Each stage has 4 things to do in them and you can do them in whatever order you want (you can also retry each map and location as much as you want). There are two scores to go for. A semi-easy score and the hardcore score. Once you get better boards and learn the courses the harder score will be super easy. After that there are some penguins idols floating around the levels. Collect them to unlock new items in the game. You also can go through X amount of gates. There are some mini games that are fun but short. The game took me just a few hours to beat but I am an experienced gamer. Like I said above, It is almost like a really simple Tony Hawk and I played those for years, so this game was super easy. But I would think that a younger kid it might have a lot more playing time. All said and done I must admit I enjoyed playing this game. It's rather simple and doesn't have a whole lot to offer but as a kid's game it's very pleasing. Kids will love it and parents will enjoy playing it with their kids. It’s a great family game for sure!!! Story - 2/10 Graphics - 9/10 Sound - 9/10 Control - 9/10 Game Play - 8/10 Replay Value - 6/10 Overall Score - 8/10

Great game... worth the hype?
STORY - 9/10 This entry in the series is a bit different than the others. It's important to know that it takes place in an entirely different universe, and the characters from the previous games no longer exist. Grand Theft Auto IV puts you in the shoes of Niko Bellic. Niko is a European immigrant coming to America to live the American Dream with his cousin, Roman Bellic. Unfortunately for Niko, Roman was exaggerating just a tiny bit when he told Niko about his luxurious life in Liberty City full of expensive cars, women, and a mansion. Roman is barely getting by running a taxi business, and neglected to mention before that he is in serious debt. Now, Niko is here to do some less than pleasant jobs to try to make life just a little bit better for him and his cousin. The characters you'll meet in this game are usually very unique and entertaining. As you do more missions for them, you'll learn a little more about them and become friends with them (or enemies) over time. The story never fails to keep you wanting more. GAMEPLAY - 9/10 The gameplay in Grand Theft Auto IV has been completely redone. Even the players that have put countless hours into Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City, and San Andreas will be somewhat confused at the start. GRAPHICS - 9/10 It's worth noting that the graphics in this game, under normal circumstances, wouldn't be anything special. However, taking into consideration the size of the city you're in and everything going on around you, it's hard to imagine how this was pulled off. The graphics may not be perfect, but they're definitely not sloppy either. The city is finely detailed all the way through, and it seems to come to life right before your eyes. Explosions are mesmerizing, to say the least. Oddly enough, the most realistic thing I've seen in the game is the water. The first time I saw it, I just stood there admiring it for a few minutes, because it really does look that great. You will not be disappointed in the graphics, for sure. SOUND - 8/10 As far as the music goes, I can't fairly judge. Everyone has their own tastes, so it wouldn't be right for me to try telling you whether the music is good or not. What I can tell you is that there are enough radio stations to satisfy anyone. There's a station for just about everything. There are enough songs crammed in to keep you busy for quite a while if you had decided to just listen to the music while you played if nothing else. The voice acting is done very well, and the sound effects are just fine, too. It's about what you'd expect, really. Good enough to satisfy, but not quite perfection. MULTIPLAYER - 7/10 Multiplayer is a mixed bag. The large variety of modes seems great at first, but any game can be screwed up by a few bad players. When I say bad players, I don't mean people that aren't good at the game. I mean people that don't work well with a team. A game can easily be ruined by a few teammates that are too busy running over everyone and wandering around aimlessly. Multiplayer is best enjoyed with your friends. The game can truly shine when everyone is playing as they are supposed to. Find friends to play with, and you'll have a hard time finding a better multiplayer experience. Join a random game, and you're in for a headache. The only other little problems I've noticed are just glitches. They don't seriously hinder anything, but at times can be annoying. Nobody likes a disappearing car. REPLAYABILITY - 9/10
