Diamond head
I saw this band - the original lineup- in the very early 80s and they blew me away. I bought the first "white Album" at the gig for £3.49 and have loved it ever since. It was a great shame that they came to an end as they had immense potential. the mere fact that other bands that started up later cited Diamond Head as an influence. I first had CANTERBURY on cassette and literally wore it out. Couldnt find a copy on CD until recently when it was re-issued in the digipack form. It was always my favourite album (with better production than the white album). The songs were a huge leap forward from the first album. Borrowed time was good but not as good as Canterbury, but great album all the same. If you dont know Diamond Head I would suggest you start here with canterbury then move on to the other albums. Forget any stuff that hasnt got Sean Harris on it as it simply ISNT Diamond head!

The perfect album
Couldn't wait for this to be released back in 84- got my dad to pick it up from the record store on release day. Having been a Gillan/Rainbow/ Whitesnake fan and too young to have seen Purple first time round I played this album in anticipation of a tour- and I got my wish- Knebworth 85! Fantastic album fantastic gig- if you haven't got this- why not??!!!
