Great follow-up to a previously great vacuum
2 of 2 found this helpful We owned the first Shark Rocket version, which performed like a champ for a bunch of years. It started to malfunction (after speaking with some other owners, I realized this issue was of my own doing and not the machine). We decided to go for the newest version of the Rocket and we're glad we did.
One great thing was the attachments from our old model fit the new model perfectly. Also, the new Duo Clean technology is excellent. Being able to vacuum from tile to carpet and back to tile without needing to change heads makes the time go so much quicker. The new version also glides / rolls a lot more smoothly than its predecessor and the motor is about 50% quieter. The lower volume is worth its price in gold.
One thing that I see many people talking about is its inability to stand up when wrapping the power cord. It's very simple; just remove the head and set it on its hanger for storage. It just takes a second. This way, the vacuum stands perfectly and makes wrapping the cord a breeze.
I know this part isn't a review of the product, but Shark's customer service was excellent to me. I called for a full rundown of the differences between this model and the Lift-Away. The woman on the phone was very knowledgeable and helped me decide on what I really needed.
We own many products from Shark Ninja (this vacuum, the floor steamer, coffee bar, and Nutri-Ninja. This company makes solid products at affordable prices.
