The Lead Revere Raider at His Pop-Rocking Best!
Former Paul Revere & The Raiders frontman Mark Lindsay's new CD, Life Out Loud is incredible! It's great, pure, hard crunching Power Pop of the highest order, like the best, most consistent, hard rockingest Paul Revere & The Raiders LP you've ever heard with more hooks than a tackle box. Not a bum track on the disc. Lindsay was always a superb pop composer and craftsman. He really knows how to layer and build a great pop song and that raw rockin' spirit is all here in abundance for your listening, leaping and dancing pleasure. Crank it up LOUD and get happy! You'll feel like you're 16 all over again.

Tenggren Art Book for Disney's Snow White is Lacking
This slim volume is an OK collection of several of the ink & watercolor illustrations Gustaf Tenggren executed during the pre-production of Walt Disney's first animated feature film, "Snow White & The Seven Dwarves." Unfortunately, despite the art's existence in the Disney picture morgue, none of the pictures reproduced in the book were shot from the original art. They are reproductions of reproductions, so crispness and clarity in the imagery is lacking. Almost no thought went into this collection.
A book of all of Tenggren's brilliant contributions to Disney's features (he worked extensively on "Snow White," "Pinocchio" and briefly on "Bambi") and shorts (such as "The Old Mill"), freshly shot from the original art, still needs to be done. Such a tome would fill a huge aesthetic gap for animation art and classic illustration collectors worldwide.

A Spectacular Collection of Burian Art in a Huge New Book!
This huge book is a spectacular collection of Zdenek Burian art. It's worth every penny. All of the illustrations seem to be shot from the original art. The latter chunk of the book on this prolific Czech artist includes an incredibly thorough 88 page Burian bibliography with a full color reproduction of each book's cover. I am an Edgar Rice Burroughs fan, so I was delighted to see the Burian covers for five Tarzan books. I am so happy that Burian's illustrations are being collected into volumes like this one.
