Helped my power steering!
1 of 1 found this helpful I have an ageing Lexus IS200 that developed very stiff power steering (expected for age I guess). Before taking it in for probable recommended replacement of steering pump and rack&pinion by the stealership I gave this a go. Well, it only went and worked! It must have liquefied any hard deposits/varnish inside seals/tubes etc that along with a very small initial part-replacement of the steering fluid has made a definite improvement to the ease of steering. I'm now gradually replacing more of the fluid every few days with new ATF (what the IS200 uses for steering fluid) so as to try to remove the liquefied deposits best I can so it doesn't re-harden.

Needs a hard outer shell
2 of 2 found this helpful Concept of this is great but it's flimsy polystyrene. Needs a hard outer shell so it doesn't easily break/snap. I've improved it by carefully wrapping it in duct tape so think it will last now.
