Wearing Someone Else's Clothes

One of my go-to albums

If you've not heard of him then you should. This is a great album from a genius song-writer and talented musician. There is a wide spectrum of songs here as Jason Robert Brown effortlessly goes through blues, rock, jazz, folk, ballads and there's even a big band finale all tied-together by his fine piano playing. Some of the songs remind me of earlier Billy Joel work, but overall you can hear the underlying influences of jazz and musical theatre in the writing. The lyrics are witty and clever and the musicianship is off the scale. It's one of my go-to albums and I wore out my previous copy. Hopefully this one will keep me going for the next decade or so

Beautiful edition of a fantastic story

I wouldn't be the first to write a good review of The Hobbit, so there is nothing more to add in that regard. I am loving revisiting this story with my son who is totally absorbed in the magical world of dwarves, spiders, a mountain filled with gold and its protective dragon, and of course, Bilbo Baggins. This edition is a treat to own: it is a lovely hardback with fantastic illustrations and maps. I couldn't recommend it enough
