Best single-volume Complete Sherlock Holmes available.
This is a facsimile copy of all the Sherlock Holmes stories as they first appeared in The Strand magazine (although the first two stories, A Study in Scarlet and The Sign of The Four, were not originally published in The Strand, they appear here in a similar format) along with all the original illustrations in a high quality reproduction - there are many copies of these stories available with poor quality illustrations or fewer illustrations or none at all. The only negative point is that it does not contain any illustrations for those first two stories which did come with illustrations when issued in other publications or book form.
It is a large sized volume so the print size is good and the quality of the paper is thin like a magazine so it gives you the feel of how someone reading these stories for the first time in The Strand magazine in the late 1800s and early 1900s might have felt. Of the many Complete Sherlock Holmes single-volume editions I have seen, this one is by far the best. Well worth having in your collection if you are a Sherlock Holmes fan.
