5 star quality at a 5 star price
3 of 3 found this helpful The Panasonic GF1 was a groundbreaking camera when it was first introduced in 2009: a 12 megapixel 4 Thirds sensor, very adaptable and thought through controls, a compact and robust body, high quality lenses.
A lot of people find digital SLRs to be too large, heavy, and intrusive; whilst compact cameras have very small sensors that compromise image quality. The GF1 introduced a third way: image quality almost on a par with semi-professional DSLRs, but in a package little bigger than pocket sized, particularly with the 20mm f1.7 pancake lens.
Now, with it having been replaced by newer models in the Panasonic product range, it also offers excellent value for money.
