Lightweight, rugged and extremely bright illumination.
1 of 1 found this helpful I have owned the 3-9x40 version of this scope for years and is has become my favorite optic. The 1-4x20 version is built to the same quality level and lives up to the Leupold brand name. The best aspect of this scope is the Firedot reticle that is essentially Red Dot bright and aids in quick target acquisition. The Auto off feature means that batteries won't go dead if you forget to turn it off after a range session. While other reticles might be more suited for competition shooting, the VXR Patrol with Firedot is an extremely useful all-around scope that can be used across a wide range of applications, from Target shooting to hunting, or even home defense. Highly recommended!

High Value in a Unique Design
4 of 4 found this helpful Until recently, I had never spent more than $25 on a knife. Then a couple of Spyderco knives caught my eye, and I bought a $100+ Para 3 as a gift for my brother who has always been more into knives than I have.
That Para 3 was by far the nicest folding blade I'd ever handled. Suddenly I "got it". I understood why these $100+ blades are held in such high regard.
The Sliverax takes the quality and expertise of the Spyderco compression lock, marries it to a satisfying ball bearing flipper action, and puts a large blade into a compact, classy package. I feel equally confident carrying the Sliverax as a gentleman's carry and relying on it for heavy duty tasks during camping, hunting or any other serious business.
The action is smooth and positive whether it's flipped, flicked, or opened in a controlled motion with the Spydie hole. Fit and finish is superb, the lock is tight, and the blade is perfectly centered.
While the price may seem high compared to the cheap tools that just get the job done, if you want something that will get the job done and look good going it - the Sliverax is a tremendous value. I can't recommend this knife highly enough.
