i bought this LP on vinyl in 1972 having heard one weekend whilst visiting friends in London. Always a fan of G Nash(Hollies) whilst buzzed when listening to the Byrds (D Crosby) and later, Buffalo Springfield (S Stills). I was prompted into buying the recording on cd having watched a TV programme on Lauren Canyon, Los Angeles, and the musicians who lived there in the late 60's and early 70's. It certainly stands the test of time reflecting that moment in time in 1968 when they recorded it - I was 1st Year at Manchester Polytechnic then my musical horizons about to be opened......

A moiment in time
Some great tracks yet despite the addition of my 'hero', Neil Young, to C, S & N it does not quite match the mastery of C,S & N. However, a great cd to have in the collection and one that sign posts to other music of that time although these musicians are still both performing and recording, having produced many great sounds over the past 50 years.
