Just do it
Having had one of these in my last house, I didn’t hesitate in getting it for my new one. It only does heating but that suited me as I just wanted to replace our living room stat, so that it was an easy diy job and now the stat measures the temperature in a room of my choice (not in the living room being warmed by the fire!!) the ability to advance and set the heating from the app is awesome.
