Large Aluminium Flight Case Microphone Camera Black Storage Box Instrument Foam

Well Built At A Good Price
This is a very well-built case at a very reasonable price. It ended up being a bit smaller than I would have liked, even though I measured it out beforehand. I wish I had bought the larger size. Still, all of my camera equipment fits in there, and it's all nicely supported and the case itself is sturdy. At a third to a quarter of the price of a Pelican case!
SawStop CNS-CIWA Durable Cast Iron Extension Wing Set for Contractor Table Saw

Excellent upgrade to Ridgid R4512 table saw!
First of all, the packaging was excellent. It arrived heavily wrapped in cardboard, with additional cardboard corner and edge protection. The SawStop wings inside are exquisitely machined, compared to my Ridgid saw tabletop, at least. You really can see a dramatic difference in finishing quality. But, hey, I only paid $540 for the table saw, so perfection wasn’t expected. The wings came with 4 holes per side and 4 M8x20 bolts per wing. The table saw had 3 M10 bolts/holes on each side. I flirted with the idea of drilling holes in the wings to use the existing Ridgid bolts, but this doesn’t work because there is a big, thick boss on the underside of the SawStop wings that precludes using the center Ridgid bolt on each side. Oh well. I drilled four 6.8mm holes on each side (please note, the wings are not as thick as the tabletop, so the bolt holes you drill have to be offset a bit toward the top in order for the top surfaces to align properly.). I used .75 inches from the top of the Ridgid table to hole centerline, 1-1/16 inch from the front and back, and 21cm hole spacing. Be very careful to keep the holes level and perpendicular to the table! This part made me very nervous, as I was afraid of ruining my tabletop. But, I have a drill motor with a built in level, and that helped me keep it level. Perpendicular wasn’t that hard. I just eyeballed the 90 degrees on each side to keep it even. I then tapped the holes with a M8-1.25 taper tap and bolted them up. They are very heavy, about 50 lbs each, and I used a rolling cart and some scrap wood to hold them while I started the bolts and tightened them up. There is enough play in the holes in the SawStop wings to allow some adjustment to get the surfaces flush. Putting the backside fence support back on is another issue. The mounting holes don’t line up on the wings. I solved this by drilling a hole and tapping it in the wings to line up with the hole in the fence guide and bolted it together that way. I only used six of the eight bolts that originally held the fence guide in place, but I think it is adequate. I had to use a fender washer on each side, because the SawStop wings are about 1/16” shorter, front to back, than the Ridgid tabletop. It ended up being a very satisfying upgrade. My stamped steel wings got damaged by movers, and this not only fixed that problem, it provides a significant upgrade to the tabletop. I now have a 27” by 44” cast iron tabletop that I like very much. Who cares if the SawStop wings are machined much nicer than my Ridgid saw? Not me! This project has allowed me to put off the upgrade to a $3000 SawStop table saw for at least a couple of years, and a new fence like the Shop Fox fence might make that indefinite. I highly recommend doing this. I was terrified about drilling and tapping my table saw, but the cast iron is actually easy to drill and tap. You just have to take your time and be careful. If you are reading this, that means you are contemplating doing it for your own reasons, but I say, do it!

Portable Electric Guitar Case Hard Shell Square Wood for Standard Guitars

    Great case for the money!
Well, it's a guitar case. But, it's well built and fit my left handed Stratocaster perfectly, which I wasn't sure it would. Its not for gigging, so I don't know about the long term quality, but for my light use purpose, it's perfect!
