Much easier than building one and high quality
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a great little unit for a delayed start ... small, well built, and the adjustment range is ideal for this application. Small status LEDs make timing adjustment a snap. Be careful to prevent the supply from exceeding 15V ... I put a 78L05 in front of them because my 12V supply was a bit hot (more like 17.5V at startup - and the onboard IC is only rated for 15V). Holes at edge of board make mounting very easy.

Takes the stress out
These ice makers have a thermostat that eventually gets pitted contacts and the ice no longer comes out cleanly. The thermostat can be replaced, but requires disassembly of the unit with two security bolts and reassembly with a specialty thermal compound. Then the unit has to be reset and checked out .... or you can just buy this unit and bolt it in (done).

Much easier than using a smaller charger 4 times
0 of 1 found this helpful If you need to charge a lot of AA or AAA cells this charger takes the drudge out. Monitors each cell individually and indicates when all cells in a bank are charged. Comes with good instructions and a mobile charge option (Cigar lighter plug).
