Frayed it’s not good enough

I always buy gear4 as they have kept my last phones safe through all manner of potential disasters. This case is super rugged etc. but the flap has a weave texture which is fraying and looks old and tatty after a week. I may try and go through eBay’s process for returns but that will probably leave me equally unimpressed. It’s a shame they’ve let themselves down with this.

Be very careful when buying iphones as only some carriers can be unlocked.

Beware! AT&T have a policy of not EVER unlocking their phones for other carriers. I had to jailbreak this phone just to get the ipod functions and had to upgrade to IOS 5.01 when trying to unlock with a gevey sim. (phone "bricked") There is no way to unlock IOS 5.01 at the moment making this an expensive Ipod touch. (I cannot use the phone function even though AT&T can't supply a service where I live) Why apple and AT&T think they can stop people using technology that was legally bought from their customers is a mystery to me.

Cheap, clever and comfortable.

Sound cancelling is cool - really strange effect when you turn it on and great for crowds and noisy environments. As headphones they seem quite nice - i tend to use in-ear jobbies which are more precise but these are quite crisp and clear. There is a boost in volume with the noise cancelling on. Only gripes are the controls are a little awkward but i'm sure i'll get used to them. The cable is a bit short and they are a little plasticky - but for the cash their great. Light and comfortable to wear would recommend to anyone with a requirement for cheap headphones.
