Great for organizing pantry/food storage
I bought a couple dozen of these jars to organize dry goods in my kitchen cabinets and pantry. They have a truly airtight seal (and the seals are replaceable when they eventually need it), and the square shape makes them a bit more compact and easier to organize than a rounded jar, and the mouth is wide enough that it isn't a wrestling match trying to fill or use them. The seals can take on odors from stronger foods (like garlic), so keep this in mind when you decide what to store in them. In my opinion, they aren't made for stacking--I occasionally do, but it always makes me nervous. They really are terrific for helping organize and know when it's time to refill. I wouldn't do without them!

Lightweight and great features.
1 of 1 found this helpful Lots of good info--time, number of steps, miles walked, calories burned, sleep, weight, water consumed--you can track them all and more. It can also be connected to your phone so your text messages pop up (you can't respond, but if you're waiting to hear from someone it can liberate you from having your phone right with you). I am not using all the features yet, but those I have used have been clear and accurate. I am not crazy about the charger--the cord is very short, and the connection seems tenuous and easy to lose, however, it does seem to charge quickly. I lost my original Alta and replaced it with this, and think it's a better tracker.

Wonderful Cookbook by a Master Chef
Thomas Keller is the only American chef to have been awarded simultaneous three-star Michelin ratings for two different restaurants. He is, quite simply, phenomenal. "Ad Hoc" is a cookbook for the rest of us--it has family-style recipes like barbecued chicken and strawberry shortcake), plus lots of lessons and instructions to help anyone become a better cook. If his "French Laundry Cookbook" is a bit fancy for what you want to do every day, "Ad Hoc" is a great, approachable cookbook by a master chef.
