New Makerbot Replicator Mini Compact 3D Printer Plus 8 rolls of Filament

Works great

Makerbot had some very bad startup issues with their new Gen5 printers, but the newest software and firmware has fixed it all. If you just want a printer to work and only need PLA, this printer is fantastic. It is really reliable and I never have to worry about my job finishing. You can buy blue painters tape 2" wide and just wrap it around the bed. There is no RFID chip either and so you can rig up a spool and feed this printer any old PLA filament. But theirs is a decent deal as well. The smart extruder has bad press from the early days, but the new software and firmware fixes this well. You can also easily take the extruder apart and fix it yourself once it is out of warranty. Lets face it, any low end 3D printer needs some TLC, but this one may need the least. If you look at the design of the z-axis drive and the 2 motor x-y axis and the smart extruder, you can see that this was designed by professionals. I recommend this printer highly if you don't mind the small build size and you stick with PLA. filament.
