Great speakers, well balanced and at the right price

I had my mums computer playing sound through the speakers built into her monitor, but the sound was weak and tinny, I bought these as an upgrade for her as she has started listening to music more often and they turned out to be perfect, the sound is well balanced, they don't sound boomy and they go loud enough for a party but not so loud that we would get complaints for the neighbours, ideal for her. I would have preferred a separate off button rather than having to turn the volume nob down until it clicks or for them to be powered through the computer so they turn off along with the computer hence 4 stars.
