Nice and sharp fast telephoto zoom
For event work this is essentially the go to long lens. Sharpness is good and focus is fast. For landscapes this a little better at long end and at 70mm the edges can be a bit better on 50mp cameras. The situation is essentially the reverse of the f4 version, except the difference is perhaps less noticeable on f4 one. That's 50mp where very few lenses resolve even close to that resolution. This lens absolutely doesn't tolerate cheap filters, which completely destroy sharpness. Premium filters are ok. Finally, if I ever got r system camera, I would not consider the RF equivalent because of plastic materials and extending design.

An affordable android superphone. Highly recommended
Samsung Galaxy Nexus is a previous Google flagship phone, over year old at the time of writing. It packs a very large and punchy screen featuring very high (retina) resolution. The blacks are black and colours are vivid but also fairly accurate. More importantly it gets good 3G reception, and call quality is very good. It also seems to be a good music devices, and contains plenty of storage. The processor is maybe not the fastest octa core, but it is certainly more than enough for casual use, browsing or skype calls. I do not play any games, so I have no idea how well it handles that - it's a phone, not a playstation! Battery seems to be OK. It does last till evening which is the most important. I haven't yet pushed it to the limits. Build quality is very reasonable. The screen can easily pick up minor marks, but that is pretty common with most phones. The back is plastic, so that has no chances of breaking, unlike iphone 4S or Nexus 4. I've used HTC desire before so this was a major step up, particularly with internal storage and build quality. I have also tried Nexus 4 before, but had to return 2 of them due a very long list of faults (including crackling headset noises). This older phone does everything what Nexus 4 was meant to do, just a lot better. Samsung knows how to make good phones. The biggest negative is the lack of LTE / 4G support. At the moment it is enough in UK, but in other countries or in one years time the situation may be quite different. But then at this price there is simply nothing else that compares.
