Good value

Much cheaper than the same product through luthier suppliers. Mine needed some small attention with fine sandpaper. A lot quicker than making one's own.

No longer a mystery but still not quite what I'd hoped for

Found the instructions. I feel the tool would be greatly improved if there was a simple lock on the measuring rod or the display enabling one to take the reading and then lift the tool to see the read-out as is the case with my digital caliper. Otherwise as far as I can gather you have to perform all the measuring at eye height with good lighting and a steady hand. Not all that different from using a simple static ruler or feeler gauges.
