My top pick for guidance in raising kids.
If I had it to do over again, I would use this book for our family in a heartbeat. Not only the what to do is explained, but most importantly, the why of discipline and consequences. Cloud and Townsend give godly, Scripture-based goals for raising kids instead of just helping parents go from one crisis or challenge to the next without defeat. I love it! I bought this book looking for a resource to recommend to parents who want to help their children be sexually abstinent until they are married. I found it!

What we need
Having read Ken Sande's bigger book, The Peacemaker, I was blessed to find this shorter simpler version to recommend to people. The big book is great stuff and very thorough, but this one will be a practical guide and is very, very good. So many people I talk to have issues with others that this book would be an immediate help for. I recommend it highly.
