Great evolution of a series...but
0 of 1 found this helpful Great games are founded on many aspects with certain combinations and a dash of magic. Arkham knight pushes all the right buttons and makes you feel like a total badass. But is hitting all the right notes really what is the soul of a game? The short answer is no. Big open world? Check. Good combat system? Check. Good story to keep you hooked? Mostly. Good graphics? Check. Elements in place for plenty of fannying around? Check. But what is it about this game that just makes you feel like you've seen it all before? Yes...it's the 4th game in the series, that seems like an ironic statement to make. But that's precisely the problem. A few new elements do make the difference enough to make this purchase worth it, and it is a great game that's fun from start to finish. But you are essentially doing the same things you did in all the previous games in the series. A hint of stagnation will set in fast and make you remember doing it all before. But the feeling of obligation and interest in the story will see you through the game. 8/10
