Good value, does the job
1 of 1 found this helpful First thing to note this rack only costs £15 which in my opinion is great value considering what it does. It arrived on time in a box enclosing two halves of tubing which loosely connect together when fitting; it also came with screws and wall plugs. Fitting to a wall was straightforward and once up the adjustable arms proved very useful in getting the angle just right to stop the bikes sliding off. The metal tubing isn't the strongest in the world but does the job and holds two of my bikes comfortably. The sponge padding on each arm is a nice touch so the bike paint doesn't scratch. I was pleased enough with the first rack that I bought another one to put my other two bikes up out of the way. The only fly in the ointment was that two of the screws broke: one under tension of a slightly uneven wall and the other while I was screwing it in to a particularly tight spot - probably caused by my ham-fisted efforts. Otherwise all was very good indeed.

Could be longer
The tape came in a recyclable box and is made in Italy which are two "thumbs up" for me - no plastic and not made in China. The bar ends and finishing tape are adequate, nothing fancy, and the tape itself is comfy, with adhesive and easy to wrap. My only negative criticism is that the tape is only just long enough. If you wrap too tightly or, as I normally do, wrap fully around the brake levers then there's not enough - it could do with being a couple of inches longer each side.

Does the job
I bought this to remove a Regina Corsa freewheel '78 and it fitted fine. The freewheel hadn't been touched for 40 years so consequently wasn't going to come off easily despite being soaked in dismantling fluid. The VAR freewheel remover did the trick and is a fairly solid piece of kit however, one of the notches became quite damaged in the process - I reckon it'll be good for perhaps another 2-3 freewheels and then need replacing. I'd buy one again but in my opinion don't expect it to be a long-term part of your cycle tool kit.
