Don't expect much and you won't be disappointed
This is as cheap as it gets. kids. It's what I wanted and so no complaints there. However, this little thing has a real problem with sinew. You need to either remove EVERY trace of sinew, cut it in to really small cubes or, do like I did, and take it apart and clear the sinew that gets tangled three or four times a session. I hooked up my power drill using a metric bolt and really blasted through some sirloin.

Solid but noisy
I had the Kwikset version first. The Kwikset was quieter and only required one cycle in each direction to lock or unlock whereas the Schalge does this little two-step motor action on each lock or unlock cycle.
The Kwikset was finicky and things had to be near perfect in order to work such as handing and alignment. The Schlage is much more forgiving of such things.
The Kwikset lasted only two years before it got intermittent and sometimes just wouldn't open or close no matter how fresh the batteries. The temporary solution was to pull the battery pack (hard to do when you're locked out) and replace it which would work for a day or a week.
Also, the Schlage is networkable through a Wink device.

Go with the name
Verify your vendor to reduce counterfeit risks and buy the name brand when it comes to protection. Cheers mates.
