    Fuji HS10 Digital Camers
I bought this camera on a "whim", as I already have a Lumix FZ28, as a "back up" to my Nikon D90. The deciding factor,I think, was the [35mm equivilent] 24-720mm zoom lens. Ease of use....If you have had a Digital camera before, there are a couple of new bits and bats that you have to get used to. In ALL fairness, stick it on "Auto", and you ain't got any real problems. The "PDF" Manual can be a touch intimidating, but the basics are in the "Printed Matter", or indeed on the "on board menu" Pro.... Faily quick capture of the shot [JPEG] Con.....Very slow capture of RAW [6+secs] Pro.....Great zoom lens Con.....NO lens hood supplied [£30 from Fuji, £4-14 on Ebay] Pro.....Great Video capture...8GB gives about 30 mins of HD Video. Con.....Mono sound...but for the price??? Pro.....Can use ANY AA battery...[and will recognise it!] Pro/Con Has a system if you are on "Live view",[the rear viewing screen] and you put your eye to the EVF [Electronic ViewFinder] it automatically switches to the EVF...I found this a little confusing. Fortunately, you can turn it off. So you can manually switch between the EVF and the rear screen. Incidentally, the rear screen is very clear, but it only articulates back and up. It's as big as a Nikon D40.....[with a 720mm lens built in] Would I swap it for a Nikon D40?....NO Would I swap it for my FZ28? Already have done Verdict. It ISN'T for everybody.... But it's worth a long look

I bought it for my g/f. She has used it two or three times, and the battery life could be better...But as a "Point and Shoot" Compact...it's not that bad. As an "Onlooker",[she won't let me use it] it has to have 4 Stars....for the moment.
