Awesome and inspiring

Heard about this book and looked for it on ebay. It is an awesome book about a black family's determination to succeed in spite of the bigotry and racism in 1950's America. Against all odds, 4 daughters became doctors and one a teacher. They are all success stories. Extraordinary story and defeats all the arguments that if you are born poor and black, you have no chance to improve yourself. A must to read.
