NOT LIKE "Bridge Over the River Kwai". THIS IS TRUE! INDISPENSIBLE HISTORY!!!
My dad, Pvt. John D. Clark, F Battery, 2nd Battalion, 131st Field Artillery, Texas National Guard, was there. He was captured 23 days after his 19th birthday on Valentine's Day, 1942. Three and a half years later, in September 1945, he would be liberated. At that point, 15% of his very young life had been as a prisoner of the Japanese.
Eighty years later, no one knows, and likely they don't care.
This helps me understand.
