Cheap and nasty
For luxury read threadbare and worst quality possible. Not even worth the low price that it costs. Absolutely awful.

Ultra-plotless
Take Aeon Flux and mix in scenes from Kill Bill and the Matrix, then remove any semblence of a coherent plot and crucially, any characterisation and you have Ultraviolet. I like a good sci-fi rampage as much as the next spotty teenager, but it needs to be gripping, have tension and have a plot that, while perhaps may not be believable, that at least you can suspend your disbelief while watching it. You can read the synposis for the plot, but what comes across here is mindless comic-book action in which there is no tension at all because Violet can dodge bullets from a dozen assassins all stood in a circle. The action sequences therefore simply become ridiculous and lose all dramatic impact. When this is combined with the sloppy storyline - factions introduced and then killed without any explanation and wholesale lack of charactisation, it all turns into a ho-hum, clock-watching experience. On top of that, there's a strange effect applied to most of the movie which makes everything look like it's going to be output for video game footage.
